Torre del Mar is a great choice with its very affordable local restaurants and beach clubs. On weekends, you will often find live music at many of the chiringuitos, each with its own vibe and audience. There is plenty of free parking available in Torre del Mar!
If you want to have lunch on the weekend, we suggest always making a reservation at any restaurant in advance.
Bahia Beach jazba A very friendly mix of young and old enjoying themselves with a great selection of food. It’s a bit pricey compared to other beach clubs but it's worth it due to their menu choices and dining service at your deck chair! This link leads directly to their reservation page.
Playa naturista de Almayate is the place to go if you want to relax in the nude.
Chirinquito Elm Hornillero is a very relaxed and budget-friendly beach spot that radiates a hippie vibe. Make sure to try a can of sangria—you’re guaranteed to have a great time there. Remember: Do not drink and drive!
Another great beach village, close to Malaga, is El Palo, where you’ll meet more locals than in tourist-oriented areas. It’s a charming little town, perfect for a stroll. You’ll also find several large supermarkets in El Palo. Street parking is free but hard to find. The underground parking facilities are affordable.
Gastrobar GallarVi offers a great selection of food at reasonable prices. They are well-loved not only for their food but also for the friendly and attentive staff. And don’t forget: Children are welcome in almost any restaurant, no matter how young.
Restaurant Carrasco is just steps away from the sea. Unsurprisingly, their menu is fish-focused, although they also offer great meat dishes. A word of warning: dining here is a typically Spanish experience, so take your time and enjoy the leisurely pace! This link will lead you to this feast of food.

If you’re looking for an excellent meal closer to home, we recommend Table Mountain Restaurant. Richard and Marjo, the Dutch owners, run this modestly priced restaurant. They occasionally host live music events, so be sure to check their facebook page for updates.
